Short Descriptionto Harbour Bridge, Balmain, ferry to Greenwich, then Balls Head. Great harbour and historic scenery, but hilly
Full DescriptionRide to Harbour Bridge then Anzac Bridge. Tour Balmain, with lookouts, historic sites, quaint streetscapes. Catch ferry from Birchgrove to tour Greenwich Point, more lookouts, then back streets and paths to Wollstonecraft, Waverton and Balls Head, including Coal Loader. Complete loop via Crows Nest back streets. Great harbour and historic scenery, but very hilly. Coffee before or after ferry ride: Balmain or Greenwich. To allow time for the many stoppages en route and the fiddly, hilly nature of the route, two hours is recommended for the 20km to the ferry, + coffee-time if coffee taken in Balmain.
