This ride is NOT suitable as your first ride with Bike North unless you are an experienced rider and you know the terrain. Riders should be self sufficient for minor mechaincal problems and carry a repair kit and spare tubes, and pump. Traffic is usally light on this route but riders should be aware that they will be riding with cars and motorbikes on narrow roads. Regrouping points are; the service station over the river, the top of Mt White, and the Calga turnaround point. On the way back we regroup at Mt White and the base of the final climb to Pie in the Sky where we have a well earned food and drink stop befoe the final 2 or 3 kms back to the start. |
