Short DescriptionRide from Castle Hill Heritage Park, the site of the Irish convict rebellion, to Bella Vista Farm which was first established in the late 1700's and eventually sold to the North Sydney Tile and Brick Company
Full DescriptionThe ride leaves from the Castle Hill Heritage Park along a short section of path beside one of the many creek lines in the area. We travel along various back roads and paths to Bella Vista. Along the way we pass though Fred Caterson Reserve, home of many of Castle Hill's sporting groups, and the Castle Hill showground.

A short ride along the Windsor Road bike path and other local streets brings riders into the Bella Vista suburb. We stop for morning tea at the shopping centre built in what was the Norbrik quarry and from which we can view the Bella Vista Farm house on the hill above.

After climbing the hill we ride through the entrance to the Bella Vista Farm Park to join sections of the 'greenway' cycle paths. The route crosses back to Old Windsor Road and then Windsor Road for the return trip through Kellyville. We finish the ride with a steady climb back to Castle Hill Heritage Park.

This ride covers a wide range of conditions from quiet pathways and suburban streets, to a short sections of unpaved pathway. Riders should be comfortable riding on streets with moderate to busy traffic and be capable of climbing frequent short hills.
