The route includes paths connecting to Seven Hills and Blacktown train stations, T-way paths and a mix of suburban and rural roads. | Full Description | This ride is based on paths associated with various public transport options in the north-western Sydney. This includes the Western and Richmond rail lines, and the Transit-Ways from Blacktown and Rouse Hill to Parramatta. From these paths we extend into the suburbs and rural areas between the Richmond rail line and Windsor/Old Windsor roads.
From the start at Seven Hills train station we ride beside the railway line to Blacktown. We then travel north on the Blacktown to Parramatta T-way path beside Sunny Holt Road. After climbing the hill to the M7 interchange we enjoy a delightful down hill cruise to make contact with the Richmond rail line at Quakers Hill. Continuing north we leave the suburbs for some of Sydney's rural fringes with a variety of agriculture, grazing, poultry and other smells. After a few undulating roads at the northern extremity of the tour the ride stops for a break at one of the excellent cafés available in the Rouse Hill Town Centre - for people with a love of chocolate try Theoboma Chocolate Lounge. The final stage of the ride makes the gentle climb over the hill at Bella Vista using paths beside Windsor Road, Old Windsor Road and the associated Rouse Hill to Parramatta T-Way. The ride returns to the start along local paths. |
