Short DescriptionHard Hilly Ride through Browns Waterhole and Turramurra to the end of Somerville Road and beyond. Return via Bobbin Head
Full DescriptionWe ride from our Start point via the classic route including Brown's Waterhole, Kissing Point Road and up to Hornsby.

Making our way to the back of Hornsby Heights via Galston and Somerville Roads, we approach the entry to the National Park.

The Crosslands Descent into the popular camping spot is potentially hazardous and your brakes need to be in top working order. This Steep road down to the water is narrow and has numerous sharp corners. Special Care must be taken to allow plenty of space between riders on this rough stretch of road. We will spend a few minutes looking around at this quiet area of suburbia and use the facilities before we start the steep climb back.

Riders must be capable of climbing extended lengths at greater than 12% gradients.

The sighting of the sign that says "Gate" near the top will bring a smile to your face and a great sense of achievement.

All that is left now is to work our way back to the start point via Bobbin Head but make sure that you keep your concentration as Care is required on the bumpy Descent into Bobbin Head with its tight corners.

The Coffee Stop, being late in the ride, means that you will need to bring a snack or two. Two water bottles is a must.

Modifications: A modified version of this ride may include entry to Hornsby via the steeper side of Bobbin Head - Refer to Notes above.
