I have been riding bicycles for over 40 years, growing up in the UK and learning and riding with the local CTC chapter. After moving to Australia as a late teenager I continued riding, racing and commuting in and around Sydney until work and family life took precedence. I continued to commute and have been a Sydney CC member for 20 years and did over 10 Bicycle NSW "Big Rides" for those that remember that era. I have been lucky enough to ride overseas in past years, New Zealand, Vietnam and Laos and twice to Japan.

I originally started riding with Bike North when my son became old enough to ride solo and then later with my daughter on a Tandem and have enjoyed a good number of Tour de Cowra's over the years with my family and plain old solo. More recently I was able to participate in mid-week rides and enjoyed learning new areas and bike paths around this wonderful city. I now simply enjoy riding with friends who share a similar passion (coffee mainly!) and use Bike North rides as an excuse to head northside into different territory from my normal East and Southern rides.
