The Secretary's duties include keeping minutes of:

  • all appointments of office-bearers and members of the committee, and
  • the names of members of the committee present at a committee meeting or a general meeting, and
  • all proceedings at committee meetings and general meetings.

    • The Secretary is also the Public Officer:

    The Public Officer is the link between Bike North and the Commissioner of the Office of Fair Trading (the Regulator). The Public Officer is the conduit for information flow between the Bike North and the regulator, therefore it is important that the Public Officer is an Office Bearer (Director) and informed about the Bike North's activities.
